Grafton posts strong profit growth as revenues rise

Builders merchanting and DIY Group, Grafton posted a 35 per cent jump in profit before tax to £64.9 million for 2013 on the back of an 8 per cent rise in revenue to £1.9 billion.

The group said that the DIY market in Ireland stabilised during the year, while the merchanting business here returned to growth in the second half, increasing revenue by 6.7 per cent to £243 million.
