Woodies: rate of decline eases

Building merchants group Grafton, the owner of the Woodies DIY chain, has said it expected its operating profit for the full year to be at the higher end of market expectations.

This was after group revenue rose to €1.83 billion in the first ten months from €1.73 billion last year.

The company said its operating profit had risen in the ten months to October, despite difficult markets.
