The government insists that pensions policy has not gone off the political radar, despite concerns from the industry that pension matters are not getting the attention they deserve.

In March 2010, the previous government published a long awaited policy document on pensions, but the recent Programme for Government was mute on the specifics of its policy on pensions.

The government is adamant that pensions policy is not being ignored.
