The government has launched its mid-west Action Plan for Jobs, the fourth of eight regional jobs plans, aimed at delivering 10 to 15 per cent employment growth in the region by 2020.

The plan aims to create 23,000 new jobs over the next five years in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary, a region which suffered badly during the financial crisis, losing almost 25,000 jobs.
