Green Party leader John Gormley has called on Fine Gael and the Labour Party to ‘‘put away the petty squabbling’’ and work with the government on an environmental agenda in the best interest of the country and the planet.

Addressing 600 delegates last night at the Green Party Conference in Dundalk, Gormley challenged opposition parties to enter a ‘‘new sense of partnership’’ in the wider interest of the environment....
