Good results spell a bright start for Casey at ILP

Denis Casey, the new chief executive of Irish Life & Permanent, got off to a flying start when he announced his first set of half-year results last week.

Casey, who took up the position following David Went’s retirement earlier this year, trumpeted operating profits of €321 million in the six months to June, an increase of 33 per cent on the previous year.
