Good prices achieved at auction for Dublin and Kildare properties

Auction activity picked up again last week in Dublin and surrounding counties, writes Donal Buckley.

23 Sandymount Road in Dublin 4: sold for €1.625 million, 20 per cent over its guide price.

Following a brief lull, auction activity picked up again last week, with 12 properties selling under the hammer and two of these were Dublin houses which sold for over €1.5 million. Another five properties failed to sell, including a Terenure development site.

The top price of €2.49 million was achieved for a five-bedroom detached house on 0.66 acres, Proby Park House, Proby Park on Barnhill Road in Dalkey. It made 24 per cent over its €2...
