There are three times more houses being built in Ireland today than ten years ago, with a record 77,000 new homes built last year. However, despite the increased availability of new houses, prices continue to climb.

The national average house price increased by 8.5 per cent last year and the average house now costs €255,000.The average price of a house in Dublin is €336,028.
