Golf tops new safety test

The latest Volkswagen Golf, when tested by Euro NCAP in 2008, scored atop 5 Star rating.

Indeed, its 97 per cent total for adult occupant protection is the best yet recorded under the new system. The car also did very well for child occupant protection, with an 84 per cent score.
