At a time when much focus has been placed on German investors, particularly pension funds, taking an interest in Irish build-to-rent projects, at least four Irish companies have formed a strong presence in the German property market: Greenman, Smyths Toys, McGrath Group and the Comer Group.

Greenman, a real estate investment fund manager, recently increased the value of the assets in its open fund to €570 million, making it Germany’s largest food retail-focused investment fund....
