The heavy investment in roads in recent years sparked a business idea for Jim Burke, a 30year veteran of the private bus sector.

Burke, a Galway businessman whose ventures include Burke’s Buses and Citylink, is behind GoBus, a €3 million venture that is creating 35 jobs. The firm last week started services between Galway, Dublin and Dublin Airport.
