International mining giant Glencore has upgraded the potential size of its Limerick lead and zinc prospect from 30 million tons to 42 million.

The new assessment may bring a decision by the Anglo-Swiss based company to develop a huge lead and zinc mine at the Pallas Green site a step closer, according to mining industry experts.
