The Labour Party will not take part in any alliance of left-wing parties and will not join any national government, according to party leader Eamon Gilmore.

The Labour Party will not take part in any alliance of left-wing parties and will not join any national government, according to party leader Eamon Gilmore.

Speaking to The Sunday Business Post in advance of the party’s national conference next weekend, Gilmore firmly ruled out any left-wing alliance as proposed recently by the Sinn Féin president, Gerry Adams.
