The resourceful "jobless Paddy", who paid for a giant billboard to find himself a job before emigrating, has a permanent contract with Paddy Power

Last summer a young man attracted huge media attention when he put up a giant billboard on Dublin's Merrion Road in a last-ditch bid to save himself from having to emigrate.

Job offers flooded in, 30 interviews resulted and Féilim Mac An Iomaire eventually started working at Paddy Power.

His probationary period with the bookmaker is now over and he's been given a permanent job.
