The Wexford Festival Opera (WFO) has introduced a programme of new afternoon events to supplement an already extensive series of concerts which back up its main performances.

The 58th festival takes place from October 21 to November 1, and includes afternoon operas.

At the festival launch earlier in the year, the opera company said that the one-act operas - which provided audiences with the opportunity of hearing world-class singers from central Europe and Russia at very reasonable...
