German politicians get first look at Irish EU review
UPDATE: in unpublished documents seen in Germany, the EU warned that more Irish budget cuts may be needed in 2012 to meet targets on deficit reduction.
Sinn Fein Finance spokesperson Pearse Doherty has described as “deeply troubling” reports that the German Parliament’s finance committee was discussing the as-yet unpublished European Commission review of the Irish bailout programme.
Bloomberg News had reported that these discussions included talk of a possible mini budget for Ireland in 2012.
