German investor confidence beats forecasts

A key index of German investor confidence rose this month to a higher than expected level of plus 31.5, its highest score in two and a half years.

German investor confidence gains

A key index of German investor confidence rose this month to a higher than expected level of plus 31.5, its highest score in two and a half years.

The January ZEW index had been forecast to rise in January to 12, from 6.9 in December, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg.

This was the highest level since May 2010.
