German imports climbed at their quickest pace in more than three years in June, rising 4.5 per cent on the previous month, rebounding from an unexpected fall in May.
The Figures from Germany’s Federal Statistics Office suggest that demand in Europe’s biggest economy remains strong despite geopolitical crises abroad.
Exports rose by 0.9 per cent in June. Both figures beat economists’ forecasts.
