Geoghegan appointed chairman of NAMA advisory group

Former HSBC bank chief executive Michael Geoghegan has been appointed by the Minister for Finance as chairman of the NAMA Advisory Group, a statement from the Department of Finance said.

Former HSBC bank chief executive Michael Geoghegan has been appointed by the Minister for Finance as chairman of the NAMA Advisory Group, a statement from the Department of Finance said.

Minister Noonan announced in the Budget that he was planning to establish a group to advise him on NAMA. Geoghegan has agreed to carry out the role on a pro-bono basis.
