One of the most anticipated videogames of the year hit the shops last Friday evening, with long queues reported outside some retailers.

Gears Of War 2, published by Microsoft Game Studios and available for the Xbox 360, is expected to sell in excess of 500,000 copies worldwide on its opening weekend, grossing over €25million in the process.
