Gavin O'Reilly, the former chief executive of Independent News & Media (INM), is to be a director of a new public affairs consultancy being set up by Karl Brophy, a former executive of the media group.

The company, Red Flag, has recently been registered at the Companies Office, and O'Reilly is being tipped as a chairman of the business when it is fully established.
