Closed circuit television (CCTV) systems are to be installed in 11 town centres over the next six months as part of an overhaul of the Garda CCTV operation.
A public tender was issued last week for the procurement, supply and fitting of CCTV cameras. The tender document states that the Garda are trying to establish the most appropriate procurement model and that they expected the contract to be completed within four to six weeks.
