Garda allegations: Padraig Reilly

The family of James Goonan, who died at his home in Birr, County Offaly, want the gardaí to treat the death of their brother as a murder case.

Padraig Reilly describes being haunted by what he saw while working as a psychiatric nurse in the health service.

He went public with his claims about the abuse of patients in psychiatric institutions some years ago.

One of the cases he detailed was that of Nicholas Murphy, a patient Reilly claims died in Garda custody.
