US-owned Popcap is rapidly growing its workforce and flying the flag for a lucrative games sector in Ireland, writes Adrian Weckler

Plants Versus Zombies. Bejeweled. Zuma. Peggle. For those with an iPhone or a laptop, there’s a good chance that at least one of these games sounds familiar.

Less well known is the company That makes them, Popcap.

Yet the games developer is rapidly growing its Dublin workforce: from 40 to 60 last year and upto 100 (or beyond) this year.
