Gambler’s carpet firm reported sales of €110m

Furlong Investments, the carpet and flooring company owned by Kildare gambler Noel Furlong, had sales of almost €110 million last year.

The company, which has operations in Ireland and Britain, made a pre-tax profit of €3.2 million for the year ending June 30, 2006, according to accounts just filed. This was up slightly on the previous year, when it made a profit of just over €3 million.
