Galway public transport to get €4m facelift

Public transport in Galway city is to get a €4 million face lift with better access, improved traffic flows and improved routes for cyclists and pedestrians.

Public transport in Galway city is to get a €4 million face lift with better access, improved traffic flows and improved routes for cyclists and pedestrians.

Minister for Public & Commuter Transport, Alan Kelly announced that the funding had been allocated through the National Transport Authority under the Regional Cities Accessibility Programme. Currently, just 4 per cent of work trips in Galway city are made using public transport, the minister said.
