A new wireless solar hi-fi system based on space technology is set to be launched soon by a Galway-based speaker and hi-fi technology firm.

O’hEocha Design became famous in the 1990s when its futuristic ‘alien’ speakers were used in the film Men In Black.

The company’s latest endeavour sees it working with European Space Agency suppliers to create a wireless solar-powered system aimed at the iPhone and MP3 generation.
