Galway building material firm had €600k loss

Galway company Thomas McDonogh and Sons, which sponsored one of the Galway Races last week, made a loss of €606,000 for the year to the end of September 2006.

Galway company Thomas McDonogh and Sons, which sponsored one of the Galway Races last week, made a loss of €606,000 for the year to the end of September 2006.

The company is involved in the sale of building and hardware materials, and property investment.

During the last financial year, the group discontinued its animal feed business, which resulted in an operating loss of €524,000.T he company made a profit of €865,000 in its previous financial year....
