A Galway firm has secured European Space Agency (ESA) contracts worth €1.9 million to develop new technologies for space launchers and satellites.

Eire Composites Teo specialises in technology for the design and processing of advanced lightweight composite materials that can be used in aircraft, wind turbines, automotives and spacecraft.

Under the ESA deals, it will develop lightweight materials that can withstand extreme temperatures, pressures and turbulence, while also reducing the weight of spacecraft and launch...
