Gaelectric raises e13.5m for Montana

Renewable energy company Gaelectric has raised $18 million (€13.5 million) to book 960 megawatts (MW) of transmission capacity for wind energy developments in the US state of Montana.

Renewable energy company Gaelectric has raised $18 million (€13.5 million) to book 960 megawatts (MW) of transmission capacity for wind energy developments in the US state of Montana.

Raised from private equity sources in Europe, the funding will be placed on deposit with transmission operators Bonneville Power Administration and North Western Energy, to book network capacity with roll-out planned to begin between 2014 and 2016.
