Funding boost for Cork LED firm

Nualight, a small Cork firm that has developed light-emitting diode (LED) technology, plans to expand after raising about €2 million in funding.

Nualight, a small Cork firm that has developed light-emitting diode (LED) technology, plans to expand after raising about €2 million in funding.

The company employs eight people, but is hiring six more staff and expects to have up to 40 staff within three years.

Liam Kelly, the chief executive of Nualight, said the firm would also invest in product development and sales and marketing following the investment by 4th Level Ventures and Enterprise Ireland.
