Funding award for first events industry ‘skillnet’

A Dublin-based software company has received funding to develop the country’s first events industry, skillnet.

Skillnets are support bodies, which aim to enhance the skills of people in employment in Irish industry to support competitiveness and employability.

Funding is available from the National Training Fund for clusters of SMEs which can identify common training and networking needs and develop a training programme to meet these needs.
