An FT Deutschland worker finalises the last cover

The last edition of the Financial Times Deutschland newspaper has appeared today, with its title partially obscured to read: FINAL TIMES.

The unprofitable pink newspaper that had been spun off from the British title, was shuttered today, fell victim to contracting circulation and advertising revenues as readers go online.

The German-language newspaper is owned by Bertelsmann's Gruner & Jahr unit. It failed to make money in 12 years of existence.
