In the bakeries of Perth in western Australia, Lorraine Martin was spoilt for choice when she went searching for fresh gluten-free and wheat-free goods.

"When we were home on holidays we realised there was very little in the way of wheat or gluten free products here,’’ said Martin, who is originally from Dublin.

She left for Perth in 1984 and remained there for 26 years, before returning to Ireland and settling in Monaghan in 2010.
