Friends First is investing €1 million on media this year as it seeks to revitalise its brand with a new advertising campaign.

The company, which specialises in pensions and investments, has discovered that it is well known among consumers, but that the public as a whole is not particularly well informed on what it does. It is also perceived, according to head of marketing Eamonn Twomey, as ‘‘a bit passive’’.
