French deal would value OpenHydro at €170m

Investors in Irish tidal energy company OpenHydro will find out at the end of this year if French engineering giant DCNS will buy them out.

Investors in Irish tidal energy company OpenHydro will find out at the end of this year if French engineering giant DCNS will buy them out in a deal which would value the business at €170 million.

DCNS made a loan of €25 million to OpenHydro earlier this year and extended an option to buy out the rest of the company, *The Sunday Business Post* has learned.
