Four-star Mount Wolseley seeks protection against creditors

Mount Wolseley, the four-star hotel, spa and golf resort, in Tullow, Co Carlow has sought court protection from its creditors, after its bank called in its loans.

Mount Wolseley, the four-star hotel, spa and golf resort, in Tullow, Co Carlow has sought court protection from its creditors, after its bank called in its loans. The hotel petitioned the High Court to appoint an examiner late last Friday, just hours after Bank of Ireland had appointed a receiver to the property.

The receiver, Grant Thornton, has now been stood down, pending final confirmation of the appointment of the examiner. Examiners are initially appointed...
