Four counties, including the home county of the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan, are to be prioritised by the IDA in its attempts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into Ireland.

Under a radical new plan designed to boost employment in the country’s economic blackspots, half of all new projects backed by the IDA will be now located outside Dublin and Cork, with priority given to rural areas...
