Formula 1 crashes into more scandal

Scandal continues to dog Formula 1, with an investigation being held into an alleged race-fixing incident involving Renault’s Nelson Piquet Jnr in last year’s Singapore Grand Prix, writes Linda Maher

Another week, another Formula 1 scandal. It seems the sport just can’t get enough of it this season. This time, Renault is in the spotlight.

Tomorrow, the FIA World Motor Sport Council will meet to investigate a race-fixing incident from last season’s Singapore Grand Prix, when Renault driver Nelson Piquet Jnr crashed during the race. The accident handed victory to his teammate, Fernando Alonso.
