The former managing director of Joe Duffy Motors in Dublin was paid €500,000 for his shares in the business after leaving the company last year.

The payment to Owen Crinigan, who has worked in the motor trade for 20 years, is outlined in the latest accounts for the firm. The north Dublin BMW, Mini and motorbike dealership is one of the biggest in Europe.
