Donal Geaney, the former chief executive of drug company Elan, has emerged as a backer of a new multi-million euro investment fund, Frontier Equity Partners.

Donal Geaney, the former chief executive of drug company Elan, has emerged as a backer of a new multi-million euro investment fund, Frontier Equity Partners.

Geaney is a partner in the venture fund, which plans to invest in early-stage biotechnology companies in Ireland, as well as some international companies. David Brabazon, the former vice-president of finance at Elan, is the chief executive of Frontier Equity.
