Former Anglo Irish Bank executives Sean Fitzpatrick, William McAteer and Pat Whelan are to come before the Circuit Criminal Court on 2nd September for a pre-trial hearing.
The former banking executives have been charged with 16 counts of allegedly providing unlawful financial assistance to individuals to buy shares in the now defunct bank. The full trial is scheduled to begin in January.
Defence lawyers today warned of "media frenzy whipping up a lynch mob mentality".
