Former Anglo chief David Drumm appears before Boston court over bank collapse

Lawyers want to examine whether Drumm’s extradition request was for “political purpose”

Lawyers for ex Anglo Irish Bank boss David Drumm want to establish whether his extradition request was done for a “political purpose”, a Boston court has heard.

Drumm, 48, was brought before the Massachusetts District Court for a short 10 minute hearing this evening.

His lawyer, Tracey Miner, told Judge Donald Cabell she will need three to four months to prepare the case against the extradition request.
