One of the most interesting models at the London Motor Show last week was the Econetic version of the new Ford Fiesta.
Using the company’s 1.6-litreTDCi diesel engine, it produces just 98g/km carbon, making it the lowest emission regular four-seater car on the market. This exceptionally low reading is achieved by aerodynamic adjustments, lowered suspension, low-friction oil, low-rolling resistance tyres, a modified final drive ratio and the increasingly common change-up indicator.
