Ford is planning to spend €670 million on an old Daewoo factory in Romania.

This will give the company a low-cost production unit, where it will build 300,000 cars and the same number of engines per year.

The factory, which is being sold off by the government, who bought out the ex-Daewoo creditors, employed 3,900 people and this number will increase to 9,000 people when the modernisation work is completed.
