Don't be scared of shellfish, especially mussels, as they are cheap and plentiful.

Often regarded as poor man's shellfish, mussels grow on coastline rocks and stones, but the majority are farmed in suitable coastal waters.

Mussels are environmentally sound and relatively cheap to buy. Unless you know how fresh they are, always eat mussels on the same day you buy them.
