Raise a glass to the creators of Bloomsday at the Bailey bar off Dublin's Grafton Street on **June 16**.
The idea for the first Bloomsday was hatched over drinks at the bar by its then owner, John Ryan, and Flann O'Brien in 1954. Ryan went on to install the door of 7 Eccles Street at The Bailey after rescuing it from demolition.
