Focus On: Harvey Nash survey highlights tech challenges

The annual rain check of chief information officer attitudes suggests organisations are coming out of recession and preparing to embrace growth.

Anticipation for the annual Harvey Nash CIO Survey was greater than ever last month as people looked to one of the strongest indicators of trends and sentiments in enterprise technology for signs of economic recovery. Now in its 16th year, with 3,211 technology leaders contributing from more than 30 countries, it didn't disappoint.

Nearly half of the respondents reported budget increases, the highest score the survey has seen since 2006, well before the financial crisis.
