The gas market is set for further competition with Flogas planning to undercut Bord Gáis prices for business users by 15 per cent.

Richard Martin, managing director of Flogas, said the firm would initially target the country’s 20,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and hoped to win 20 per cent market share within two years.

He estimated that the SME market was worth about €100 million a year. Flogas has entered the business market...
