Flavin pay deal

Sometimes it’s the little things that irritate shareholders.

One can only wonder at the reaction of DCC’s owners to the decision by the board to pay chief executive Jim Flavin an additional €150,000 bonus ‘‘in recognition of the special demands’’ placed on him by the court case against Fyffes, as part of a total package of more than €1.6 million.

DCC, of course, successfully defended the case.
